SYF 2024 Celebrations

3. About 1,500 students will participate in this year's SYF Celebrations in June and July. This event provides a platform for student performers to demonstrate their passion in dance, drama, and music while engaging with the community. It also offers opportunities for collaboration with local artists and practitioners to further develop their skills.

4. The SYF Celebrations will feature a diverse range of programmes at various locations and online platforms this year, notably at the Gardens by the Bay where students will showcase their artistic expressions through the "Dance Extravaganza!", "Shall We Sing?" and "Kaleidoscope" performances on 28 and 29 June. Aspiring student-songwriters will have the opportunity to perform their original songs through "Youth Station Live!" at the National Library Building, which marks the culmination of their songwriting journey under "The Youth Station Project". In addition, O- and A-Level Music students, as well as students from the Enhanced Music Programme and Music Elective Programme will collaborate to present "Project 2024: Sonic Excursions" at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music. Please refer to Annex B for more details.

SYF 2024 Art Exhibition

5. The theme for the 2024 Exhibition, "Artist and Collaboration", invites students from the secondary and pre-university levels to harness the power of collaboration in art to create, connect, and contribute. Drawing inspiration from the collaborative efforts of artists, students are encouraged to explore diverse perspectives, blend art forms and disciplines, and push creative boundaries. The theme fosters a spirit of innovation and inclusivity, inspiring students to imagine possibilities for the world they live in.
